sonoma county air show

this is our 3rd time going to the annual air show. even though it makes for a pretty hot day we pack our lunch and head out early.
this year ella really enjoyed watching all the airplanes. she and ted share a love for airplanes.
my handsome sweetie! i love that you can see the c-17 in the background.
when we got home we all took a nap. see you next year airplanes...

tigger!

ella loves tigger! she has this tigger dressed in a green bunny suit that she got for her first birthday and she has loved him ever since. i found this ironic as i didn't want winnie the pooh stuff when i had my shower. seriously, i think that might have been my one request. but this is a little different maybe? well, i think it's cute.

we thought ella might be a little scared of a 6 foot tigger, but when it was her turn she ran right up to him and gave him a hug! she would not take her eyes off him. if it had not been for corinne pooh would have totally been snubbed.

you can't really see it in this picture, but ella had her hand on tiggers right over my shoulder. she was so happy. i felt bad pulling her away when our time was up.

this was on the tigger and pooh ride- obviously!

ella looks a little unsure in this picture, but she did enjoy herself.

disney world

marlaine, ella and corinne had never been to disney world. it was quite a day. at first it was sweltering and we thought it was going to be a horrible day. the girls were cranky and we couldn't decide what to do first. but after about an hour things were much better and we had an awesome time!

corinne fell asleep on popop and completely missed the small world ride.

disney has this thing called ride swap. if you have children that are too small to go on a ride one part of your party can go on the ride and then swap out staying with the kids. you go straight through to the ride pretty much. it was great. while ted and i went on splash mountain my mom got ella an ice cream bar. it was a big hit.

it took a little looking and a trip back to mainstreet to find these balloons. they were awesome! even after a week or so the balloon still looked the same as when we bought it!

alexander springs

we went to this fresh water spring a few times while we were in eustis. this is the second trip. (i forgot my camera the first time.) the spring was really cold, but it felt good once you were totally immersed. we were able to do some snorkeling to see the crevice where the water was coming up. the second trip we made with my aunt margie and uncle dennis.

of course, both times we had a picnic and both times we almost got rained out.

yes, more fun...

this was the most packed couple of weeks we've spent with my parents. the first week we were there we did a ton of stuff. these pics are actually from our second week. still lots of fun. we went to a little park on the way home from target. we thought these little ladybug cars were cute. unfortunately we couldn't stay too long because there were so many fire ants.

one day we took the girls to the pool. ella did really well. and, of course, corinne loved the water and enjoyed hanging out in her floaty.

my mom got the girls these tutu's and glitter "makeup". i couldn't get a good picture of ella.

i couldn't resist getting this cake for ella. she thoroughly enjoyed a piece with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. she got a big kick out of it especially after seeing cinderella at disney world.

firsts and playtime

this summer the girls got to meet their great-grandma (my mom's mom). it was good to see her again. i hadn't seen her in years either.

ella eating her first donut. it was pink, of course. later that week she asked for blue donuts, but this was the only batch we had.

ella was so excited to take this picture with cody.

both girls had this idea to get into the toy box. then they asked my dad to push them around. it was pretty cute to see them playing together.

nona & popop's

corinne and popop meet for the first time. we spent the second part of our trip with my parents. it was a nice 4hour drive up to eustis, florida. the girls did really well on the road trip and actually slept for about half the trip. we stopped over at a rest stop for a snack. while eating our chicken tenders, ella noticed a fly on our table. this was her reaction (remember she's 2 and very loud and enthusiastic): "mommy look it's a fly! hi bug, what you doin' bug? he oh look at dat cute bug!"

ella found nona's toy stash and her tigger slippers. she thought these were pretty cool.

nick and marlaine (my "little" brother and his wife) came down from north carolina to visit as well. they brought their dog cody. he is such a well behaved dog and put up with a lot of stuff from the girls. corinne loved him!

a few more...

hanna and victoria. these two are inseparable! ted's parents turned a walk-in closet off their bedroom into a small room for the girls. they have enough space to put two small bed's a little box as a bedside table with a lamp and a boombox. one night corinne woke up crying. once i woke up i realized there was some loud music coming from hanna and victoria's "room". i had to turn it off while both girls were out cold! there must have been an alarm on the radio or something.

nathan eating his ice cream. ella got to meet him for the first time. out of all the cousins, ella and corinne had never met nathan, mathias or caroline before.

ella is just now starting to add "auntie" and "uncle" when she says the name. somewhere in there she got a little confused. when asked who ted's sister was she would exclaim loud and proud "uncle jean!"

caroline's first birthday

my niece, caroline, turned one in july so, the family celebrated while we were altogether. steve took these pictures as well.
this is it: an evening at mom and dad morris' house. a little chaotic, but a lot of fun. all the children enjoying cupcakes while the adults wait for coffee, take photos and chat.
corinne didn't get a cupcake. she had some fruit instead. why start the obsession with sugar early, right?
daniel and gabbi.

waterbabies

here's grandma and her two youngest grandchildren, caroline and corinne. the are 2 months apart. grandma taught all the grandchildren how to swim, i think.

the kids were having different competitions and races. steve did such an awesome job on all these pics!

corinne loves the water. in case you were wondering, this is the pooltime that ella and ted napped through.
