at the end of august we packed up very early in the morning and headed to the san francisco airport for fort lauderdale. we wanted to see both sides of the family and do a family vacation so, we broke up the vacation quite a bit. i thought it would be more tiring than relaxing, but i was wrong. we had such a good time.
the first leg of our journey we spent at ted's mom and dad's. it was so nice to see them again, AND we got to see ted's brother and his family (we hadn't seen them in about 2 years.) the kids had a blast playing with their cousins.
bohdan and grandpa really had a blast playing together!
the girls enjoyed snuggles and reading with grandma (and her chocolate chip cookies!)
it was a rare moment when the house was quiet. lots of scrabble-playing, coffee drinking, baby babble, children yelling/crying and the indiana jones theme song (from my nephew, mathias). i wish i had video of him playing an imaginary game of lego indiana jones. at one point corinne came down wearing one of her princess dresses and he looked at her and declared, "oh good, you can be my wife!" which apparently was something he needed in his quest to find the crystal skull?? too cute!
corinne played so hard that she just fell asleep on this ottoman one afternoon.
and bohdan crawled and crawled and crawled...
